Kraft (Catch-22)

Kraft is a minor character in Joseph Heller's classic novel Catch-22.

Kraft was killed during a mission to blow up the bridge at Ferrara. Kraft appears in no scenes in the book, only in Yossarian's memory. Yossarian describes him as a kid from Pennsylvania who just wanted to be liked. Since Yossarian ordered the plane to make a second attempt at hitting the bridge, he feels guilty for Kraft's death.
