Peter Krapotkin pass trough Haparanda in 1917. There are a number of classic pictures of russian revolutionaries in Sweden. One of the oldest is from when Michail Bakunin visited Stockholm in the 1860s and the most known is probably from Lenin's visit in Stockholm 1917. For thos the photographers are known, but not for this picture. It is probably taken by a local photographer in Haparanda since it was published on page 39 i n the city of Haparanda's 100th jubilee yearbook published three years after the city turned 100 years in 1942. ("Haparanda stad 100 år", by R. Odencrants, printed in Uppsala 1945).

Peter Krapotkin passerar Haparanda 1917.

Public domain This image (or other media file) is in the public domain because its copyright has expired.

This applies to the United States, Canada, the European Union and those countries with a copyright term of life of the author plus 70 years.

Note that a few countries have copyright terms longer than 70 years: Mexico has 100 years, Colombia has 80 years, and Guatemala and Samoa have 75 years. This image may not be in the public domain in these countries, which moreover do not implement the rule of the shorter term. Côte d'Ivoire has a general copyright term of 99 years and Honduras has 75 years, but they do implement that rule of the shorter term.
