Krásno nad Kysucou (Hungarian: Karászno, earlier (Kiszuca)-Krászno) is a town in the Čadca District, Žilina Region, north-western Slovakia.

The first written record about Krásno nad Kysucou was in 1325.

Krásno nad Kysucou lies at an altitude of 384 metres (1,260 ft) above sea level and covers an area of 27.77 square kilometres (10.7 sq mi).[1] It lies in the Kysuca river valley

According to the 2001 census, the town had 6,939 inhabitants. 98.39% of inhabitants were Slovaks and 0.69% Czech.[1] The religious make-up was 97.10% Roman Catholics and 1.12% people with no religious affiliation.[1]
