[edit] Ownership
KPRM transmits with 25,000 Watts of power, and is owned and operated by De La Hunt Broadcasting. All their studios, offices, and transmitters are on the east side of Park Rapids, near the intersection of Highways 34 and 4.
In 2006, Ed and Carol De La Hunt were inducted into the Pavek Museum of Broadcasting Hall of Fame.[1]
[edit] Sister stations
Their Park Rapids properties include KPRM, KDKK (easy listening 97.5), and KXKK (country music 92.5). They also own KAKK (1570) and KQKK (101.9) in Walker, Minnesota, and KVKK (1070) in Verndale, Minnesota.
An announcement was made in early May 2008, that two more stations are being added, targeting the Bemidji area. The construction permits have been issued, and building has begun. WBKK-AM 820, licensed to Wilton, will feature Classic Country with some Polka programming. KKWB-FM 102.5 seems to be headed for an easy listening format, much like KDKK.
