== Well known personalities of Qulandy are the Hadramee families of Aidarous, the large Valiyagath House of the Aidarous families , which stood beside the mosque , which is now demolished , has over 20 houses built on its site, and also the graveyard of the Sayeds of Aidarous families, Valiyagath Sayed Alavi Thangal was a well know police office of Malabar , he retired as Suptd of Police of Tamilnadu and his family members are all well settled down in Chennai, the first lady doctor of Aidarous family of Quilandy was Dr Kadeeja Alavi who is settled down with her family in Malaysia, the first lawyer from Aiadarous family of Quilandy was Rasha Ashraf Alaydeross, who graduated from the Madras Law College, and is also doing her MBA in International Business.
