Welcome!
Welcome to Wikipedia, KovacsUr! My name is Ryan, aka Acetic Acid. I noticed that you were new and haven't received any messages yet. I just wanted to see how you were doing. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it uses different formatting than other sites that use HTML and CSS. In the long run, though, you'll find that the WikiSyntax is a lot easier and faster than those other ways. Here are a few links to get you started:
- How to edit a page
- Editing, policy, conduct, and structure tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
There are a lot of policies and guides to read, but I highly recommend reading over those first. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Please be sure to sign your name on Talk Pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, along with a link to your user page. This way, others know when you left a message and how to find you. It's easier than having to type out your name, right? :)
I hope you enjoy contributing to Wikipedia. We can use all the help we can get! Have a nice day. Sincerely, Ryan 10:31, August 3, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Hungarian culture
Hi. I'm Lelkesa. You seem to be interested in Hungarian culture. Would you be interested in such a WikiProject? The quality of these articles seem to be very poor (eg. Hungarian literature), and many important articles are yet to be written. I made a WikiProject proposal and in case you're interested I would appreciate if you could add your name to the list of interested Wikipedians.
Thanks, Lelkesa 15:17, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Rúzsa Magdi (promotional photo).jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Rúzsa Magdi (promotional photo).jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Thuresson 17:40, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. I have replaced the less-than-flattering photo in the Magdi Rúzsa article with this one; if one of them has to go, I'd rather keep this picture. KovacsUr 20:08, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Non-free use disputed for Image:Venetian Snares - printf.jpg
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Venetian Snares - printf.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:18, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your concern, bottie, I have changed the licence. KovacsUr 10:47, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Rossz
Could you please, then, provide me with a reference where Wikipedia policy states that titles in the English Wikipedia must follow foreign capitalization rules? That would be more helpful than telling me some rule that, for all I know, you made up. = ∫tc 5th Eye 19:08, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
