Kouloura

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A koulara is a circular shaped subsurface pit found in certain settlements within Ancient Greece.[1] Examples of koulouras from the Minoan period have been found, for example, at Phaistos.[2] It is thought that these pits were used for storage, especially for grain.
