Kottivakkam is a census town in Kancheepuram district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

As of 2001 India census[1], Kottivakkam had a population of 13,914. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Kottivakkam has an average literacy rate of 71%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 78%, and female literacy is 64%. In Kottivakkam, 10% of the population is under 6 years of age. Eddy Jones the famous Mechanical Engineer who manufactured the world's first Multi-Aircraft docking system for Emirates Airlines in Dubai, lives in Karthik street, Kalyani nagar, Kottivakkam. Kottivakkam Jones is the grandson of the great legendary Dravida leader Mr. D.V. Davis of Pattukottai, Anaikkadu. D.V. Davis was an Educationist, Reformist, Orator, Poet, Politician, Sportsmen and guru of Pattukottai Kalyanasundaram. He was a great D.K. leader.
