Coordinates: Kottigehara (Kannada: ಕೊಟ್ಟಿಗೆಹಾರ) is a village located in the foothills of Charmadi ghat in Chikkamagaluru district of Karnataka state, India. Its coordinates are 13°3'27"N and 75°31'58"E. It is named after a very old cow shed ( Kottige means cow shed in Kannada ).It receives very heavy rain fall as it is situated near the western ghats.
Kottigehara is surrounded by many villages. Binnadi and athigere are among them.
