Kotipalli is a village located in Gangavaram mandal in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, India.

Kotipalli is located on banks of the river Goutami Godavari.

[edit] Kakinada-Kotipalli Railway

Kakinada-Kotipalli Railway line lies between Kotipalli and neighboring Kakinada. It was restored in 2004 after 65 years of neglect. It is managed under the Vijayawada division of South Central Railway, Indian Railways.

The railway line was originally laid in 1928 by the British to provide transport access to the Godavari delta area. The line was dismantled in 1940 due to the acute shortage of steel after the outbreak of the second world war.

Kotipalli is also famous for Kotilingeswara temple, built by Indra.In this temple the Shiva linga is always submerged in water.

kotipalli situated on banks of Godavari river ,where the local people travel to villages thru boats which are docked on either side of the banks,for every 30 minutes there is a boat facility organised by Government of Andhra Pradesh charging Rs.5 per person.it takes 15 minutes of enjoyable and memorable views which are unforgettable.
