Kotchandpur is located at 23.4000° N 89.0167° E . It has 19773 units of house hold and total area 165.66 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Kotchandpur has a population of 107193. Males constitute are 51.4% of the population, and females 48.6%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 54897. Kotchandpur has an average literacy rate of 26.9% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
