Kotaro Tamura

Kotaro Tamura (田村 耕太郎? born July 23, 1963) is a Japanese politician of the Liberal Democratic Party, a member of the House of Councillors in the Diet (national legislature). A native of Tottori, Tottori, he attended Waseda University as an undergraduate. He also studied at Keio University and Grandes Écoles in France, among others. In 1999, he ran unsuccessfully for governor of Tottori Prefecture. He was elected to the House of Councillors for the first time in 2002.
