Kot Najibullah

Kot Najibullah is a town on the old silk route in Haripur District, Pakistan with a population of approximately 20,000 people. It is a historical village old name of the village was DAULAT ABAD. There is no evidence of its name.Kot Najibullah means "Fort of Najibullah". It is the one of the oldest economic centres of Haripur. It is 15 KM away from Haripur, 65 KM from Islamabad.

Kot Najibullah is famous for its Hattar Industrial Estate, 2 KM from Kot Najibullah. Former Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Fakhar-e-Alam also belongs to Kot Najibullah. Sardar Muhmmad Mushtaq Khan (Advocate) former member of provincial assembly and current Member of National assembly belongs to Kot Najibullah. Government High School is very old school and played a vital role in educating people of Haripur and nearby districts. Sardar family was the local rulers and land lords. Main mosque of Muqadam built by sardar family in 1870 rebuilt in 2005 on same foot print. Village has its own railway staion on Havalian-Rawalpindi Railway Line. Police Station and small Hospital is ALSO THERE.
