This maps has several errors, here are also some suggestions for improvement:

Western Outlands
Western Outlands

1. See the Western Outlands article. Not just that part of Macedonia was Bulgarian, but several (2-3) small territories in eastern Serbia.

WWII occupation
WWII occupation

2. The Albanian occupation of Kosovo is incorrect. Northern western Kosovo (Dukagjin) is presented as if it didn't occupy, when it did as well. Also a part was under Bulgarian occupation - the southeast.

3. Kraja (eastern Montenegro) was occupied by Albania during WWII as well.

4. The small strip of territory between Djakovica and Prizren was unresolved status and claimed by Albania, only after the First World War annexed to Montenegro (within the Kingdom of SCS). It shows as it was Serbia's.

5. What the heck is wrong with the border between Serbia and Montenegro?

6. I know it'd be a pain in the ass, but Kosovo's borders weren't those in the beginning - in 1959 was North Kosovo annexed from Serbia proper to it. --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 16:41, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

Hello there PaxEquilibrium. It is true that the CIA maps are (and that is in general) pretty much inaccurate and it is advisable to improve them. Obviously you have more knowledge about history in that area than me and therefore I suggest that you modify this map or create a new map that would show the border changes throughout that time more clearly. If you cannot do this or you need help with it feel free to contact me again. Best solution for this would be actually an animation. But I don't have enough map data for such, do you? --Arsenio (talk) 10:10, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

I do, but I'm afraid time for me is a luxury that I cannot afford. :) --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 18:34, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
