Talk:Korben (band)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

delete the page if you must, but this is a international selling/touring indie band. They have worked with memebers of guns and roses, toto, aloe blacc, ill harmonics, had their album engineered by Jrat (emenem, backstreet boys, janet jackson), and Jody Sappington (prince, Shania twain, black eyed peas etc..). They signed to an indie label owned by private investors. This is not some local band. How can you find them everywhere on the internet but wikipedia?

Then put those claims of notoriety (preferably sourced) in the article itself; that'll prevent deletion. Coren 03:47, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

What type of sources do I need to use? Most information is in their album credits, and radio interviews. I can verify these truths through their label, but that's simply verble. I do know of some logged web radio interviews they did in the UK. Does that work? I appriciate your help on this, thank you.

Independent, established secondary sources would be best, such as a notable music magazine. Check out Wikipedia:Notability (music), especially that list of twelve criteria. I'd like to offer encouraging words, but looking over the article, it seems to me that it will be quite difficult to establish notability for this band. Radio interview logs are probably not going to work. --Darkbane 04:13, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the help. I'll see what else I can do, but this stuff is turning out to be incredibly time consuming. I have some homework to do I supose. Again, thanks.

Yeah, tracking down sources can be difficult and time consuming. But Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and places high value on WP:Verifiability. You could try checking related periodicals at a library's database. On another note, in order to avoid confusion, it's a good habit to sign your comments on talk pages. Press the signature button on the menu above the edit box or type four successive tilde keys to do so. --Darkbane 04:34, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
