Korkino (Russian: Ко́ркино) is a town in Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia, located on the eastern slope of the Southern Urals, 42 kilometers (26 mi) south of Chelyabinsk. Population: 39,400 (2006 est.); 41,501 (2002 Census);[1] 45,198 (1989 Census).[2]

Korkino was founded as a village of the same name in the second half of the 18th century. It was granted town status on October 2, 1942.

Korkino is an important coal-mining center.
