Korenica

Korenica is a little town in Lika, Croatia, located in the municipality of Plitvice Lakes, on the road between Plitvice and Udbina. It has 1,570 residents (2001).
In SFRY it was named Titova Korenica after Tito. The population is comprised of local ethnic Croats and Serbs, and there are also Croats from Bosnia who moved to Croatia after the Homeland War. There is one elementary school and one high school.
There also exists a small village named 'Korenica' in the Krivogaštani municipality in the Republic of Macedonia.
