The Korea Institute for Advanced Study (고등과학원 KIAS) is an advanced research institute in Korea. It is located on a 30-acre campus at 207-43 Cheongnyangni 2-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, Korea.

KIAS was founded in 1996 and currently has three schools: Mathematics, Physics, and Computational Sciences. Its primary aims are to provide researchers in pure mathematics and theoretical physics environment to concentrate on their research without other duties. As a theoretical research institute, it has no formal curriculum, degree programs, or experimental laboratories. As of 2005 the institute contained a total of 23 scientists and 65 research fellows, with 36 in mathematics, 28 in physics, and 19 in computational sciences.

As its name suggests, this institute was founded modeled on IAS at Princeton University, though unlike its original, KIAS is a government funded research institute. Currently, KIAS is a subordinary institute of KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology).
