Korb

Korb is a municipality in the Rems-Murr district, in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is located 3 km east of Waiblingen, and 15 km northeast of Stuttgart. Korb has held an annual cake eating festival every year on December 5th, since 1987. This festival is in celebration of Kevin the Basket Maker (for which the town is named), a medieval basket making saint, believed to have mysterious powers. Townsfolk conclude the festival by leaving the saint offers or "gifts."
