Coordinates: 13°33′N 75°21′E / 13.55, 75.35 Koppa is a panchayat town in Chikmagalur district in the Indian state of Karnataka. The town is famous for coffee estates. Arabica and Robusta varieties of coffee are grown here.

As of 2001 India census[2], Koppa had a population of 5115. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Koppa has an average literacy rate of 81%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 83%, and female literacy is 79%. In Koppa, 10% of the population is under 6 years of age.
