[edit] Little context in Imaniye
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Imaniye, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Imaniye is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Imaniye, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. The article Shostakovich`s Nightmare has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 11:43, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
- The article, although long, didn't assert anywhere that the band met any of the notability guidelines of WP:BAND. I can't read your mind to know "this band has been on TV, but that fact will be added later." Also, the article cited no sources whatsoever, see WP:V. If you can cite reliable independent sources (and your own knowledge is not an "independent source") to show how this band meets the notability guidelines, feel free to repost. Please do not make personal attacks, as you did here [1]. You apparently have a major problem with this other editor and the deletion of an article. I would advise you to take it somewhere else and stop wikilawyering and making attacks on his page. That won't help your cause. Redrocket (talk) 20:00, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 20:35, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
