[edit] Merge

Dragases suggested that Kostantinos Mavromichalis should be deleted. This was his comment:

The article has been recreated with a more accurate transliteration of the name (Konstantinos Mavromichalis). This version of the article should now be deleted.

It can be solved by a redirect if we can reach a consensus here as to which name is more accurate./--Ezeu 09:18, 17 January 2006 (UTC)

I wrote Kostantinos article and I will not see it deleted. The other article copied the text I wrote for Kostantinos. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Kyriakos (talk • contribs) 03:07, 20 January 2006.
Nobody owns an article in Wikipedia. Wheather the article stays or goes is decided by consensus. What you should do is state your case why the name Kostantinos is more correct than Konstantinos. None of the articles will be deleted, they will be merged. It is the title, not the cointent that is disputed. – Ezeu 06:51, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
No one is interested in discussing this. Even my reguest posted at Wikipedia talk:Greek Wikipedians' notice board has not recieved a reply. So I'll just go ahead and redirect. --Ezeu 17:06, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
A quick search of Google Books, Scholar, and Web (excluding Wikipedia mirrors) seems to show that Mavromichalis (with CH, not KH or H) is the most common spelling of the last name. The first name shows less unanimity, but Konstantinos and Constantinos both seem fairly widely used. The form without the N is less common. So the current title seems fine. Whatever good content was in the Costantinos article should be merged into this one, not deleted. --Macrakis 22:11, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
