Kona Gold is a champion Thoroughbred racehorse.
Best known for his victory in the 2000 Breeders' Cup Sprint and subsequent Eclipse Award as Champion Sprinter, Kona Gold raced until he was 9 years old.
After spending several years as a stable pony for former trainer Bruce Headley, Kona Gold became a permanent resident of the Kentucky Horse Park in 2008 after the death of John Henry.[1]
