Image:Konkordat.jpg

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Eugenio Pacelli, later Pope Pius XII, signs the "Reichskonkordat" with the national socialist government under Adolf Hitler on July 20, 1933. Fair use in Reichskonkordat and the articles of the persons pictured, including Pope Pius XII, Giuseppe Cardinal Pizzardo , and Rudolf Buttmann to illustrate the object in question. No free equivalent exists of the RK signing, thus this is a unique historical image of an important historical event

Appears in Shepherd of Souls: A Pictorial Life of Pope Pius XII by Margherita Marchione (p. 34). Cropped to exclude less notable people and make the image a more standard dimension.

This image was nominated for deletion on 2007 July 14. The result of the discussion was Keep, unless evidence is found that the image is copyrighted.
