Komsomolsky District, Chuvash Republic

Komsomolsky District (Russian: Комcомо́льский райо́н; Chuvash: Комсомольски районĕ) is a district (raion) of the Chuvash Republic, Russia. The district's administrative center, the village of Komsomolskoye, is located 115 kilometers (71 mi) from Chuvashia's capital city of Cheboksary. Area: 630.3 square kilometers (243.4 sq mi). District's population: 27,273 (2002 Census); 28,627 (1989 Census).

The district was formed on February 22, 1939. It is situated in the south-east part of Chuvashia, bordering Kanashsky District in the north, Yalchiksky District and the Republic of Tatarstan in the east, Batyrevsky District in the south, and Ibresinsky District in the west.

The Head of the District Administration is Gennady Fyodorovich Volkov.
