Komitadji

Komitadji (also known as Comitadji or Komitaji) (Bulgarian and Macedonian: Комити; from Turkish: Komitacı, "a rebel, member of a secret revolutionary society" [1]) is a member of a guerrilla band in Macedonia or the Balkan countries. Gangs of rebels during the Ilinden-Preobrazhenie Uprising or other members of the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization were also known as Komitadji.
