Talk:Kolar Gold Fields
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Though the above story would be interesting the real fact is that, there is no proven history of the above story. It is only an imagination. Gold is found in many parts of the world where Rama and Sita never lived. God created the whole universe and placed Gold, silver, Diamond etc, in different parts of the world. KGF was one of the place where God wants to put Gold in it. John taylor and Sons who where British found gold on the surface of the ground during the time of British rule. They are the ones who actually started mining which was a private family business at that time which later on turned into a Central Govt. factory (Public Sector) where 40000 people worked in one shift in different shafts."
To whoever put this information in the article, please do not do this again. This is an encyclopedia so please only put factual information in it. God did not place gold anywhere, do not use this article to spread christian propaganda. It is already mentioned that the story is a legend so there is no use for this information.

[edit] Cleanup
- I took a stab at cleanup, creating some sections, removing obvious subjective/emotional information to make it sound more like an encyclopedia article, removing duplicate information, organizing information, adding/updating links, and so on. This is very far from a complete cleanup, but I think its current incarnation is far better than the way it was before. It just still has a long way to go yet. Peter 23:06, 3 January 2006 (UTC)
- Just noticed the changes Ganesha1 made--very helpful cleanup and organization. I mainly just added a couple links, and made the headings, formatting, and section order more consistent w/ other articles (though the history difference tool makes it look like I changed a LOT).
