[edit] corrections to English
Well done, what a great article! I must visit the town when I next go to Slovakia! Having been involved in a Slovak-English cultural exchange I have become quite used to correcting the English in Slovak writers' essays. There were several things which I have tidied up to improve the English.
A few queries: 1) I presume "Fr?hwirtha" must mean "Frühwirtha"? 2) I have never heard of "forints". Is this a misprint? 3) One very problematic sentence is just not clear at all. It is the second sentence in the paragraph starting: "Apart from giving financial aid, the Municipal Parliament...."etc. Have I corrected it to retain the sense of what you meant? 4) What is the second letter of "J?ho" supposed to be? 5) What are "extruding bricks"? It's possible this is a technical term that I don't know, but I wonder whether "protruding bricks" is what is meant? I've left it. 6) "the last floating mill was" and the next word "ride" is grammatically impossible. I've put "taken", or did you mean "floated"? 7) I've put "the ruins of Peace Castle". Or should it be "Peace Castle and the nearby ruins"? It can't be the way you have put it. 9) did you mean: "ranks among the longest wooden bridges in Europe"? Or is it, in fact, the "longest wooden bridge in Europe", in which case that is what you need to say.
A few other sentences have been rephrased to make it into elegant English. It's a lovely article, so worth getting tidy! Hikitsurisan 20:51, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] city parts
the city parts are not correct, there are only 6 official ones ... Čierny Chrbát seems to be only a subdivision of a citypart, cf. also the statute of the city, it says: "1c) Mesto Kolárovo sa člení na mestské časti : 1. Částa, 2. Kolárovo, 3. Kráľka, 4. Pačérok, 5. Veľká Gúta, 6. Veľký Ostrov ." --murli 07:20, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
Why don't you just correct that? (As far as I remember, the author only wrote this article to be able to place spam on a hotel in Kolárovo in the wikipedia, otherwise the article is far from perfect)Juro 05:07, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Stat1.gif
Image:Stat1.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:26, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
