Kolej Mara Banting (KMB) or MARA College Banting (MCB) is one of the 4 pre-university colleges under MARA. It is also the most prestigious and top ranked IB world schools, scoring above the international average in terms of candidates with 45 points, and candidates obtaining higher than 42 IB points.

MARA College Banting has been an IB World School since October 1990. Currently, it only offers the IB diploma program, though in its past, it has served as preparatory centre for A levels and Malaysian Government Matriculation. The school is state funded. The head of the school is Syed Anwar Aly Mohamed Abu Bakar, who succeeds Abdullah Abdul Rahman since December 2006. It is located rather strategically in Bukit Changgang, Selangor, situated near the Kuala Lumpur International Airport and Putrajaya. The college students here take their IB exams in May. Among the subjects taken at this college are Biology HL, Business and Management SL, Chemistry HL, Economics SL and HL, English B SL and HL, Information Technology in Global Society SL, Malay A1 SL, Mathematics HL, Physics SL and HL and Theory of Knowledge.

Although intake to the college is open to all, with history of a few private students, students usually gain entry by winning any of the various scholarships that send students to this college. Among the organizations that offer such scholarships are Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA), Petronas and Felda.

The college's main purpose of establishment is to serve as a preparation centre prior to sending the students abroad to study in their respective fields (determined by the type of scholarship they have won). Many of the students will eventually pursue their education in Engineering and Medicine after completing their IB diploma, with a wide range of university placements, including those in Ireland, Australia, New Zealand,Czech Republic, and the United Kingdom.
