Kolam Thullal

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kolam Thullal is a ritual dance form prevalent in south Kerala (south India) and is customary in houses and temples of Bhagavathy (Female deity). It is performed in relation with temple festivals and to drive away the bad spirit from the "possessed" bodies. This dance is a contribution from kaniyan cast and it needs more body flexibility to perform.[citation needed]
