Koichi Kashiwaya

Koichi Kashiwaya (born December, 1949), is an aikido teacher (8th dan Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido), Okuden in Ki training. From 1983 Chief Instructor for Ki Society USA.
Kashiwaya sensei began aikido training in 1969. In 1970 he met Koichi Tohei and trained with him exclusively until 1973. In 1975 he continued professional intensive training as uchi-deshi with Koichi Tohei. Upon completion of uchi-deshi training in 1977 Kashiwaya sensei moved to Boulder, Colorado where he founded Rocky Mountain Ki Society. He also founded The Midland Ki Federation with dojos in Denver, Kansas City, Lawrence KS, Saint Louis and Austin TX. Later he headed the Seattle Ki Society in Seattle, WA.
