[edit] Major General C. M. Barber

Hi, I am looking for some biographical information on Major General C. M. Barber for an article in the German Wikipedia on the Barber-Lyashenko-agreement which realigned the border between the English and the Soviet zone in Schleswig-Holstein. Can you help? Thank you --Concord 15:00, 15 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Concurrency wikiproject

I have put up a proposal for a concurrency wikiproject at User:Allan McInnes/Concurrency project. Input from all interested parties (especially those who will actually contribute) is most welcome. --Allan McInnes 21:30, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WebGrafix

You nominated WebGrafix for speedy deletion, giving the reason "non-notable". Unfortunately, "non-notable" isn't currently one of our criteria for speedy deletion. I have removed the speedy deletion tag. Please use {{prod}} (see also WP:PROD) to propose the deletion of an article, or {{subst:afd}} if you expect the deletion to be controversial. Thanks for your work! Stifle 13:25, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ragnaville

I see you restored the prod tag on Ragnaville after the article creator removed it. Actually, because prod is only for uncontroversial deletions, you shouldn't do that. If someone objects to the deletion, you may move the discussion to AfD. See Wikipedia:Proposed deletion#What this process is NOT for.

I went ahead and did this for you: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ragnaville. NickelShoe 14:29, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

I understand your reasons for changing the prod tag to a AfD on the Ragnaville. However, I don't see this covered in Wikipedia:Proposed deletion#What this process is NOT for. I'm guessing you refer to the first point, but I'm unsure. My personal interpretation is that this only applies as long as the original author is not the one who removes the prod tag or the prod removal is motivated. -- Koffieyahoo 14:39, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
Your interpretation is wrong, sorry. The guidelines do not state that, and I will promptly change them to clarify the meaning as discussed on the talk page. Uncontroversial means nobody disagrees. It doesn't mean nobody except the author disagrees, and it doesn't mean that nobody disagrees with good reason. Anything with controversy should go to AfD. NickelShoe 14:42, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
So, how does this relate to the speedy delete text saying that the original author may not remove the tag? -- Koffieyahoo 14:45, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
The speedy delete tag says for the creator not to remove the tag. The prod tag says for anyone who objects to the deletion to remove the tag. Simple as that. NickelShoe 14:47, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 144.134.35.242

User:144.134.35.242 is taking the AfD tags off of more articles, he moved on to Keith Carrigan. This guy should probably be banned. He is almost certainly User:Connorx. --Descendall 10:46, 8 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Brooklyn latin

I removed the speedy tag from this article. It's a real school, scheduled to open this year. The rather clumsy "class of 2010" mention means, I think, that's when the first class is scheduled to graduate. Joyous! | Talk 02:45, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

  • (from User talk:Joyous! This brings up a question: What is the policy on the inclusion of articles on schools?
Oh golly, you don't know what you ask. There were many bitter ugly battles over the question of whether or not to include schools. It was eventually decided, (but with much disagreement), that schools may be included. To get an idea of the history of this debate, you might start with the information and links here. Joyous! | Talk 03:08, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Thank you for moving my Browning Hill research to my userspace. I thought it was in my userspace, and was wondering why it had a white background like an article, and not a blue background like a userpage. Not quite sure what I did wrong when I first tried to create the user subpage, but thank you very much for fixing it for me! ONUnicorn 13:46, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Neuropsychoeconomics

hi -- my apologies; you're right, I didn't notice the wikify tag. thanks for taking it to AfD, though -- that will be more definitive. best, bikeable (talk) 01:43, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Pores of Kohn

Hi. Thanks for the catch of my wrong sub-stub on Pores of Kohn. StubSense suggests {{anatomy-stub}} as a good suggestion, so I've put that on for now. It can always be sub-stubbed by an expert if needed. Cheers --Pak21 08:33, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of online Christian pop radio stations

Regarding the edits on this page, CltFn had mistakenly edited that AfD article in attempting to create the article for another AfD, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Minaret of Freedom Institute. I saw the error and cleaned it out, and updated the other AfD with the needed information. Neither of us expressed any vote or opinion on the Christian pop radio article. Fan1967 18:03, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I saw it happen. Anyway, thanks for the heads up. -- Koffieyahoo 02:22, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for your support of the Article Improvement Drive.
This week Epic of Gilgamesh was selected to be improved to featured article status.
Hope you can help…

[edit] AFD

Well, in my opinion high schools are of borderline notability. Usually high schools have tens of thousands of graduates, each one spending hours and hours there for a four year period with countless memories during a time of transition in their lives. Some have more students than say Bryn Mawr College. Also, to try to delete every article on a high school is an unspeakably futile act. It just can't happen, and even if they were deleted they'd just pop right back up like weeds. AdamBiswanger1 15:12, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] FAGS

In response to the message you left on my talk page, it was just an assumption I made that at some point they changed their name by adding the words "Data Analysis". But I don't really know; you might be right that those words were in the name all along and it was just a small error in the Guinot paper. --Mathew5000 07:38, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Portal:Thinking

Regarding your deletion nomination of this page, AFAIK, we don't have a portal approvals process, and this appears to be a new portal. Would you consider withdrawing your nomination for now; if this portal isn't used for say a month, that's a generally accepted reason for deleting portals. If you deicde to w/d please note it on the MFD page. Thanks, — xaosflux Talk 04:55, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your reply, I do little work with Portals, and was working off an early comment on the MFD, (I do do lots of MFD's). Happy editing, — xaosflux Talk 13:27, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Lists of TV programs

Erm, did you even look at any of the lists before voting? None of the lists listed are current schedules (or anything in any way resembling one), so why are you claiming that that is all that would be lost? Rebecca 08:46, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

I did look, otherwise I just had said make into categories. And I would call the top of List of programs broadcast by A-Channel and half way of List of programs broadcast by American Broadcasting Company schedules. -- Koffieyahoo 08:51, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
What about the nine tenths of them that are not in any way schedules? Rebecca 08:54, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
The main parts of these pages are list, so make a category for each of the lists and include each of the enties in the respective category? -- Koffieyahoo 09:06, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] I mislisted an AfD you voted in

I listed Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fertility Retreat imperfectly. I should not have included the following nominations within it:

I have now, on advice, left Randine Lewis in the original nomination and broken the other two out. This message is to ensure that you see this and have the opportunity to comment upon the other nominations. I have sent it to you and th eothers who had already commented on the original bundled AfD only.

My apologies for the confusion.

[edit] Kaemi

Funny, the history of the page (and my contributions) seem to have eaten that edit. Anyhow, maybe it'd be better to say the JMA re-designated TS06W as TS Kaemi? Chacor 11:01, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

As I posted this it re-appeared. Wacky. Chacor 11:08, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] St Fidelis College, Lucknow

Why are you placing the deletion warnign each time ? St. Fidelis is not a minor institution. I've not violated any copyright. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.134.235.194 (talkcontribs) .

Because I believe that inclusion of this article violates WP:NOT, as you can see in my AfD nomination. If you do believe that there is a place for this article in Wikipedia please leave a keep vote, including valid arguments on that page. Also, please do sign your posts with four tildes. -- Koffieyahoo 00:54, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] List of similarities between Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy

Just a note to let you know the article has been completely rewritten in the time since you voted on AfD. dryguy 15:52, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Directory entry transformation

Please refresh the page at The Evergreen School, the article is now four paragraphs and still being expanded. This school is recognized as an environmental leader and has received notable news coverage and an award to that end. Silensor 18:20, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Farmington Senior High School

I see that CSD A3 "no content whatsoever.... a rephrasing of the title" could be seen as applying to this article, but my judgement was that extra information was added, albeit slight, namely "public" and "Missouri" which did make it a valid stub. Also admins "may" delete when requested under CSD, but aren't obliged to. But keep up the good work. Tyrenius 16:01, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: CHEAL-Bibliography

Thanks for the notification, Koffieyahoo. All the articles that were part of the nomination have now been deleted. Regards, Sango123 02:52, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Grand Theftendo

Hi, you asked about my "Delete Recreate the article if/when the game is actually released and has gotten some press coverage. Wp:not#Wikipedia_is_not_a_crystal_ball" comment. I didn't mean that the game hadn't gotten any press coverage now, I meant that if it is released, we could then use any press coverage after it comes out to base an article on. Being that it is a fan made mod in development, there's a good chance it will never be finished. If it is finished and released, I'm guessing it will be quite popular and will get press. --Xyzzyplugh 01:23, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] About The Crims Article

Hi I wanted to say that i can't have any other sources for the game(article) except what is written on the official site and the community fansites. All I have written there(the game specifications) are taken from the game developers(server information, number of players, available languages etc...).And the rest is a description of the game characters(taken from the official site) and game features taken from the game itself.I have ended the article with information about the prizes(wich is not a bad thing cuz all the web based MMORPG give prizes at the end of the game) and links to the sites related to the game.So all this being said what do u think I should do for the article to not be considered as advertising anymore? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kirk1987 (talkcontribs)

The best place is Wikipedia:Deletion process#Articles for Deletion page. Don't worry, many admins don't know how to close an AfD properly. The ikiroid (talk·desk·Advise me) 14:21, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
