[edit] Photo?

Is this photo kofta?

Badagnani 22:27, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

Yes it is. It is called Cig Kofte, meaning Raw Kofte. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.89.234.27 (talk) 05:48, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] As a chef specialized in this kind of dish

As a chef specialized in this kind of dish I recommend the Romanian chiftele, made of a mix of pork, beef and minced potato, with garlic, spices and eggs added to the original mix. Onion, is a vegetable welcomed when one prepares the meat, but in the case of the Romanian chiftele this vegetable is loosing the original strenght and flavor. Bon apetit to all ! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.196.150.157 (talk) 09:35, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] I have two pictures of my own, but I need help identifying the type

Hi all. My family and many of my relatives often eat this dish (we're Kurds, but I know it's probably borrowed. Hell, it might simply be mistakingly called as such), but I'm not sure what kind it is. Typically we just call it "kifteh" or "turskeh", something like that. I believe the food itself is kept in a reddish soup consisting of a variety of ingrediants, vegetables, and the koftah. The kofta's outer portion is usually made of either rice or wheat and the middle is filled with meat (typically beef or a similar meat). It is more flat, but there is obviously a bulge where the meat is. There is no egg though. It is about 10-13 cm in diameter. I've stuck some pictures here for you guys to look at so we can identify them and stick them in the page --MercZ (talk) 01:31, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Proposed merger with Kabab koobideh

Kabab koobideh is quite clearly a kebab, not a kofte. I'm removing the tag. - TheMightyQuill (talk) 20:55, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
