KOEL is a radio station serving Waterloo, Cedar Falls, and surrounding cities with a News/Talk format. This station broadcasts on AM frequency 950 kHz and is under ownership of Cumulus Media. Despite different owners and affiliations, KOEL-AM and KWWL-TV maintain a strong partnership (as KWWL has NBC Weather Plus as their DT-2 affiliate).

On weekdays, KOEL-AM airs news/talk programming as well as local agriculture business, community calendar, and stock market reports, with ABC News airing at the top of the hour.

On weekends, KOEL will air brief news breaks from ABC news, and the rest of the time, they will haver home improvement tips, Paul Harvey reruns and classic country music (when not in special programming mode).
