Talk:Kodungallur
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article should be moved to Kodungallur. Jay 10:31, 19 Jul 2004 (UTC)
Guess there should just be a redirect to this article from Kodungallur as the place is more famous as Cranganore.
Cranganore is found more in European writings and is an anglicised form of the native Kodungallur. The native name for the place is more important. I vote for the move to Kodungallur. Italo 19:23, 31 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Kodungallur is also a village in Tamil Nadu
A large village named Kodungallur exists in Tamil Nadu. Infact 2 Mel (upper) and Kil (lower) Kodungalur villages. Both are in Vandavasi remembered from the famous Battle of Wandiwash (anglicized name of vandavasi). I actually thought kodungallur was the wikipedia article on the village to find another interesting article! Idleguy 18:36, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] The meaning of 'muchiri'.
The meaning of 'muchiri'. I suggest that the meaning may be changed from 'broken lips' to 'cleft lip'. It conveys the meaning more accurately. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Eruditeonline (talk • contribs) 06:43, 7 January 2007 (UTC).
