Kodumuru is located at 15.6833° N 77.7833° E.[1] It has an average elevation of 342 meters (1125 feet). Gadwal Sarees are manufactured in Kodumuru. Recently the Indian Government has proposed to set up a handloom park in Kodumuru to save weavers from starvation and in the process help the survival of Gadwal sarees.
