Kodalia is a census town in Hooghly district in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is under Chinsurah police stations in Chinsurah subdivision. [1]

As of 2001 India census[2], Kodalia had a population of 8068. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Kodalia has an average literacy rate of 70%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 75%, and female literacy is 64%. In Kodalia, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.
