[edit] Simon Barber

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Simon Barber, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Schoolfront.gif

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Schoolfront.gif. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sherool (talk) 17:32, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:Ludgrovepool.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Ludgrovepool.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 11:09, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ludgrove School images

Hi there Kobayashis, a short time ago I deleted some images that you had uploaded, and inserted into the Ludgrove School article, because they had been copied from the school's website. Wikipedia is unable to accept material that infringes copyright; we generally only use freely licenced images.

If you want to use those images, you will have to contact the copyright holder and get them to publish the images under a free licence (there is some advice on how to go about this here). With material that is taken from another website, this typically involves placing notices on the website saying that the images have been published under the particular free licence that is chosen.

You may find it easier to replace the images with new, freely licenced ones; try taking pictures yourself and publishing them under a free licence, or make a request for another Wikipedian to take a picture. --bainer (talk) 16:51, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of The roll 2007

A tag has been placed on The roll 2007, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD a1.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Realkyhick 15:02, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The Roll 2007 =

Use the sandbox to create articles and then when they are ready, then move them to the main space. Without any context in the main space, all we have to go on is what is there. Make sure you have references and such so we can know what is going on! Spryde. Create a subpage in your userspace called sandbox/, then go to that page and create as many test pages as you wish! 15:47, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:Ludgrovel.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Lugrovel.jpg. The copy called Image:Lugrovel.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 06:44, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Eton College Archives

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article Eton College Archives, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] Eton College Collections and more

Hello, after coming across Eton College Archives, I followed it to the College Collections page. Looking over this collection of pages, it seems to me that (especially given prior attempts to delete them) that they're better served (with the exception of Casa Guidi) as all part of the Eton College Collections page. Subsequently, I've merged the College Archives, College Library, and Natural History Museum pages in Eton College Collections. Noticing that there are several other redlinks on the College Collections page, I would recommend that instead of creating new pages with very small amounts of content, that you work them into the College Collections page as new sections. Then, as you continue to develop any of these subsections, if they become large enough/involved enough, you may wish to split them off again into their own subarticles.

Anyway, hope this helps you in your future editing on the project. Wishing you success, Umrguy42 (talk) 03:24, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
