[edit] hello

Received your note on my talk page.

I will reply further on the article talk page, but I wanted to let you know that I was not doing a "drive-by" tagging. I see specific issues and will explain and help improve the article.

I've read the talk page and am aware of the conflicts. You will not find me to be part of any "gang-up mentality".

I placed the tag on the page because as the article is now, it is off-track in several ways. The citations might be OK, but they need to be checked. Someone has misquoted at least one of them, that I have already corrected in the lead.

Don't worry, it will be a fair and accurate article eventually, though it may take a while. --Jack-A-Roe (talk) 00:26, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

About the student-student part, I moved it below because I thought it was less damaging even though it might be more common. But I might be wrong about that, so I'll read and learn more before moving it again. --Jack-A-Roe (talk) 00:36, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
Hi - I replied to your note on my talk page... it was getting confusing splitting the conversation, please watch for further replies when you post on my talk page, and I'll do the same with yours. Thanks. --Jack-A-Roe (talk) 01:02, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] be careful about 3RR

Hello - just a note, I think the information that was removed and you restored is probably good to be in the article, though it needs more references. If I see it deleted again, I might restore it, I need to read it again.

However, I wanted to let you know that you need to be careful not to exceed 3 reverts in a 24 hour period to avoid being blocked for a day. Please read WP:3RR to learn about this. Anytime a user is blocked, it goes in their "block log" and remains on their record forever, like a traffic ticket.

I thought you'd want to know about this so you don't violate the rule by accident. --Jack-A-Roe (talk) 20:05, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. I know about the 3R, and have only been reverting this man once a day. (Someone else reverted him lately, too.) He mostly only deletes once a day. I think he is just making statements now. For the most part, the content has remained there for people to read and consider. I don't think this will last much longer.
Though, yesterday, someone else deleted content saying it was a copyright violation of Wikipedia, when in fact, the other website was doing the copyright violating. So, I did have to revert twice--is this why you are concerned?
Anyway, thanks for the heads up on that. Actually, I didn't think about 3RR being for any and all reverts on one page in a single day.
Don't worry about reverting Eceresa, unless you really care one way or the other about the section. I'm going to pare that section down anyway. I really do agree it could be a lot shorter.
I'm going to do some more work on the article this week, probably over the weekend--this will include applying your feedback--paraphrasing the sections, fixing the reference formats, etc. (Someone else came along and began to do the referencing as footnotes, then stopped in the middle of it.) But I want to focus on expanding the student-on-student sexual harassment section most because I think this will lessen some of the grumbling about NPOV. It IS a lopsided article, but like I've said, not deliberately, only because of the history of the article and the attempt to include as many POVs as possible regarding what is there now. Koala06 (talk) 19:18, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
I'm replying here because I'm getting ready to archive my talk page soon. I think you have a good plan on the rewrite. I didn't re-add the material myself because I didn't see enough of the references to know where it came from. I think it's useful info though.
I'm surprised that student-student harassment is such a big issue, I always thought mostly it was teacher-student that caused the trouble, especially in high school or college. So, I've learned something more about this already. Good luck. --Jack-A-Roe (talk) 21:12, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Your Comments

Thanks for the FYI, but I can't really take anything you say seriously. You don't seem rational, and the personal attacks and bias you display on the talk page are a large part of your problem, as well as proof that you can't be trusted to maintain anything like an unbiased point of view. I'm not sure what behavior of mine you're referring to, unless it was when I ignored your sexism and the personal attacks you were making on me to ask you, nicely, to stop screwing up an article. Hi - I appologise for the length of time it's taken to find a mediator for the above case, but an administrator has offered to mediate the dispute for you. He is not a member of the mediation committee (yet anyway), but has good experience of mediation in other areas. Could you please go to the above link and state whether you accept his offer to mediate your dispute? Ryan Postlethwaite 23:46, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
