[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Trieste.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Trieste.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] FHC

You're absolutely right. I thought it meant that there "was" no party loyalty and that there is now loyalty, as opposed to there "was" no loyalty back during FHC's government. I'm reverting back to your version.

[edit] Hannibal

Sorry, I reverted your edit, since I was thinking about a mispelled boldface link. I reckon you were right. Thank you for re-editing the page. gala.martin (what?) 00:37, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] AfD

Hello. I noticed that you've used the "vote" symbol on AfD. Could I persuade you to not do that? While it often looks like a vote, it's not. Emphasising the binary/counting nature makes the discussion appear less important, when in fact it's the whole point. A naked "vote" that fails to provide supporting rational is often discounted by the closing adminstrator. Thanks.

[edit] Invito

Io detesto tutti i totalitarismi e tutti i dittatori! Ciao,--PIO 17:58, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] PIO

Could you please tell to PIO that his behaviour is not acceptable in Wikipedia? I would tell him myself but it seems that he started his personal crusade (he went on to contact users who discussed with me in the past to ask them to make a "common front" against me!) and doesn't care about what I write: he simply reverts everything. See for example this edit: he reverted the additions of some in-text references, two minor rewordings and he didn't notice that he reverted to your version that incorporates many changes I made yesterday. Do you know if I should report this kind of behaviour to the admins? Is there a specific page for these sitations? Thank you. GhePeU 18:39, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

To the best of my knowledge, this is the page you seem to be looking for[1]. However, I think we should wait a little more to see if we can bring PIO to mainstream, fully constructive editing. Ultimately he means well, and I don't think that a threat of blocking would solve the situation. It rarely does. I've seen some users who manage to mask their inherent POV quite well, so as to manipulate articles without being noticed. He, on the other hand, is explicit (often candidly so) in trying to revert what he perceives as a Yugoslavian/Titoist bias from some Slavic and Left-wing Italian sources. At times, he happens to be somewhat right on this very particular issue, which doesn't at all justify edit warring or slighting personal remarks, of course (although he himself has been the target of much badmouthing from other users). I guess it's more a matter of tact and Wikiquette. A self-righteous approach from either part won't solve a thing here. Let's observe his next moves and try to demonstrate that we can always find some common ground.E.Cogoy 20:14, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

Ciao,--PIO 17:31, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. [edit] Dance capitalization

I noticed that you listed yourself as a linguist. There is currently a dispute at the Lindy Hop article the Dance WikiProject about the capitalization of dances that could use the expertise of a linguist. If you think you might be able to help, we would certainly appreciate your comments. Thanks! --Cswrye 05:07, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Guaiba.jpg)

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Guaiba.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Also, please note that a website that does not state any copyright can not be interpreted as releasing their rights. They must explicitly release their rights. --Durin 16:48, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Triestino

You are absolutely correct, please excuse me. I already reverted my silly edits. --Fertuno 08:40, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Friulian and Tergeste

Hello, I saw by chance your note at Fertuno's page: I really didn't know that Friulian had been spoken at Trieste. That's very interesting. Could you be so kind to give me some references, please? Many thanks, Claudi--Clamengh 19:48, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sorting Portuguese names alphabetically

Hi. I was wondering if you could help answering the question I posted here: Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions#Alphabetical order of some non-English names. Thanks in advance. John Anderson 15:15, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Direktor and his many forums

Hi. This message is to inform you that the forumer Direktor is a well know propagandist of tito-style propaganda on the internet. He has been banned from other forums because of his harrassment against italians in Istria and Dalmatia. He has used other nicknames and WRITES ALWAYS IN A SYNCHRONIZED GROUP WITH OTHERS, who support him. He always writes to be of distant italian roots in order to obtain support for his harrassments (he often identifies Italians in Dalmatia with fascists), and writes even to be a "not nationalist" while he promotes fanatically the tito yugoslavia with many lies and deceits. An Italian forumer born in Istria.

[edit] Libertarians (Brazil)

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Libertarians (Brazil), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. Julius Sahara 15:19, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image source problem with Image:Foibe1.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Foibe1.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:13, 10 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Quadell (talk) (random) 19:13, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] intenzione

Leggendo questo messaggio dalla prima frase sai la ossessiva intenzione di DIREKTOR -We can always use support against radical Serb (četnik) and (especially) Italian theses in Wikipedia-: sto tizio agisce in gruppo contro supposte e immaginarie tesi italiane. Dunque DIREKTOR è un troll. PIO, 11 set 2007 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.33.89.104 (talk) 15:11, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Confuso

LEO, 29 nov 2007

[edit] hi

Hi. I found you in categories of users who can contribute in English and Portuguese. I myself am a native speaker of English, but I'm well on my way to learning Portuguese. Just check out my user page and talk page, and join in any of the discussions. To keep updated, you can even put a watch on my user page, which will automatically watch my talk page. :-) learnportuguese (talk) 21:41, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
