[edit] RE: Sakhalin

The article already had this statement:

"Sakhalin is the largest island of the Russian Federation..."

So your addition of:

"and is the biggest island in the Russian far east."

...is kind of a parrot.

[edit] RE: Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk

What building is:

"One of very few remaining Japanese buildings in Yuzhno Sakhalinsk is as well one of most impressive ones; it is a museum now."

???

What is the name of the building? Do you have a photo? This sentence does not make sense, it needs some context.

WikiDon 09:48, 18 October 2005 (UTC)

yes it is available on the internet too. http://stg.sakhalin.su/Business/Tours/muzeum.jpg

What is the name of the museum/building? The article does NOT talk about a building, so for you to add that sentence, does NOT make sense. Is English your first/native language? WikiDon 10:37, 18 October 2005 (UTC)

PS: Did you take the photo? Can you contribute it to Wikipedia/WikiCommons? If not, can you take/contribute a photo that is yours to share? WikiDon 19:56, 18 October 2005 (UTC)
PPS: I am starting to think that this building should have its own article? What do you think? WikiDon

English is not my first language and no I haven't any pictures of the building made by myself. Yes it can have its own article if you like it, wikipedia is large Knyaz 07:38, 19 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Ghirlandajo

Hi there, nice to see you here. User:Ghirlandajo is well-known already to all who contribute to articles on Central and Eastern Europe. Indeed, some of his contributions are great while others show a great deal of Great-Russian view of the world. Fortunately, all of his contributions are GFDL, just like mine or yours, so correcting the mistakes he makes is really easy. Just let me know should you have any problems with that. I think you may be interested in this nomination. It seems to have caused quite a stirr - and more voices of people who have met Halibutt would be appreciated. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 22:17, 16 November 2005 (UTC)
