Yes, by all means, change the picture on the TRS-80 page. And when you see other things that need fixing, remember wikipedia's Be bold policy. Bushytails 01:48, 10 Apr 2005 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:VideoGenie.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:VideoGenie.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 19:13, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Linking
Hi there, Thanks for your further edits on the Video Genie article. One thing, though, it's not necessary to link multiple instances of a word (e.g. EACA), only the first occurrence. (There may be cases for linking more than once in a very long article where the reader will probably not read it all, but that doesn't apply here). All the best, Fourohfour 19:26, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the point about EACA reference. I wonder a little why you have changed the part about names back to the weaker “known as” when the name really was as described? Maybe the other names should be a list rather than a “story”. It is kind of stupid that there is no base name from EACA and these names seems to be decided by the importers. The German, UK and French importers agreed on the names though (we should mention the French name with all the appostrophes). We also know about a Hungarian version, but it came after EACA had gone bankrupt so who made them is not clear. So I didn't write about it. Knutrl 11:55, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
- I have written KB for what wikipedia calls kibibyte or KiB. To make it clear I have every time linked it to kibibyte so if anyone is in doubt they can look it up. Is that OK? KB has allways been 1024 bytes so why make a mess of it now, it is too late. Knutrl 11:55, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
