The general formulae: Z-CHR-Z and Z-CHR1R2 are flawed, are they not? It seems that neither of these are possible reactants because the carbon must contain two acidic hydrogens, and these only have one.   • No, March disagrees with you, according to him Z-CHR1R2 can be a reagent in Peterson olefination, just one proton! V8rik (talk) 17:22, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
