Talk:KNOM
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tom Busch, longtime manager of KNOM has continued to delete important information about the history of KNOM and its founder Father James Poole. By editing (and creating this article) Tom and other KNOM staff violate Wikipedia's "Conflict of interest" guideline.

[edit] KNOM
There are still cases in court which might be affected by the posting deleted. In addition there are other potential complainants who may feel intimidated through the appearance of names on this website even though past press coverage also included names. It does not feel proper that Wikipedia contribute to possibly convincing the persons affected to refrain from exercising their rights. VelvetDixie (talk) 00:53, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
There is no "Controversy" that is relevant to KNOM. Its founder James Poole has not been stationed in Nome for twenty years, well more than half the station's existence, and adding the paragraph on his sexual indiscretions - none of which, as far as is known, occurred at KNOM - damages an operation that is helping thousands of people every day and is arguably - since Poole left - the most award-winning radio station in the United States in the area of community service. A separate piece on Poole, however, may be justified. - Tom Busch, longtime manager of KNOM Tomnflo (talk) 20:17, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
From the viewpoint of the other parties a separate article concerning James Poole would not be an issue especially if it were possible to omit the names of the complainant(s). VelvetDixie (talk) 20:37, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
