[edit] History

The station began operation on November 16, 1989 as Portland's first full-power, full-service religious broadcast station. The station primarily carries the satellite feed from TBN, but it also produces and airs local programming such as Northwest Praise the Lord (religious) and Northwest Focus (public affairs).

As of March 2006, Comcast Cable TV does not carry any of KNMT's digital multicast channels, pending the outcome of legislation regarding Digital must-carry rules for Cable TV.

[edit] Digital services

This station's digital signal, like most other TBN-owned stations, carries five different TBN-run networks:

Channel Programming
24.1 The local TBN channel (simulcasting the analog station)
24.2 The Church Channel
24.3 JCTV
24.4 Enlace USA
24.5 Smile of a Child

In 2009, KNMT-TV will leave channel 24 and move to channel 45 when the analog to digital conversion is complete.[2]
