Knjaževac Airport is situated north from Knjaževac, 500 m north of village Minićevo, on right side of road/railway Knjaževac-Zaječar. The airport was opened on September 19th, 1989 and it was proposed for sport flights airplanes, gliders and parachuting jumps, and speciali for ultra light aircraft. Surrounding area it very attractive because of the clean nature, it has big potential for aero tourism in Knjaževac municipality. Two pilot zone "Mali izvor" and "Debelica" is near Airport. Flights are on control at Niš Constantine the Great International Airport.

Food and Pansion in Motel on Airport, in "Suvodolski" Monastery (5 kilomerers from Airport), also tourist objects in vicinity and in Hotels in Knjaževac and Zaječar. Connection with city: train and bus.

The Airport is close to mountain new ski center with new ski lifts on Stara Planina.
