[edit] News Presentation

I've condensed the news graphics portion of the technical information with the news music section into a new "News presentation" section. Thoughts? Gridlock Joe 05:13, 30 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] NBC Triopoly: Something I Cannot Understand

NBC Universal owns KNBC, KWHY-TV, and KVEA-TV...has anyone ever brought up this matter to the FCC? Has the FCC done anything at all to get NBC to sell one of its stations? Gatorman 01:23, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Schedules

The schedule of programming is not encyclopedic data. Because it is an element of the station's day-to-day decisions it should not be listed in an encyclopedia article. - Amgine 21:23, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

I completely disagree and have reverted the article. Schedules are encyclopedic as long as they are part of the main article and not an overwhelming part. See, for instance, NBC#Fall_2006_Line-Up and List of programs broadcast by NBC. Please reread WP:NOT before making any further changes. Calwatch 02:05, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
Please allow me to quote the relevant section of WP:NOT in its entirety for you (emphasis mine):
[Wikipedia is not] Directories, directory entries, TV/Radio Guide or a resource for conducting business. For example, an article on a radio station generally shouldn't list upcoming events, current promotions, phone numbers, schedules etc. (although mention of major events or promotions may be acceptable). Furthermore, the Talk pages associated with an article are for talking about the article, not for conducting the business of the topic of the article. Wikipedia is not the yellow pages. See Yellowikis for a project with that goal.
I wil again remove the schedule. - Amgine 04:25, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
To all editors, please see the discussion at Wikipedia_talk:What_Wikipedia_is_not#Newscast_schedules.2C_redux, where the issue of removing TV schedules is discussed. Calwatch 05:22, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Digital cable channel

I'm trying to add that 93.1 is the station's number on Time Warner digital cable to the infobox, but I don't seem to be able to. Also, is the station available on other cable carriers? Time Warner controls a significant part if not the entirety of the L.A. market. Theshibboleth 20:01, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
