[edit] Thanks for your contribution to Okurigana!
Hi there! Thanks for your contribution to Okurigana. I'm curious, why did you change the 話し example to 話す? The point was to show that 話し (as the noun form of the verb 話す) can be different than 話, the noun meaning "a story" or "a tale". Maybe we could clarify the sample on the page even further?
- 話し (hanashi)
- noun form of the verb hanasu, to speak. Example: 話し言葉と書き言葉 (hanashi kotoba to kaki kotoba), meaning "spoken words and written words".
- 話 (hanashi)
- noun, meaning "a story". Example: 話はいかが? (hanashi wa ikaga?), meaning "How about a story?"

- Anyway, I'm going to change the article back with this example. --Che Fox 05:15, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
