KMHX started on 104.1 FM, Maverick Media purchased country station Q105 (104.9 FM) and the intellectual property of KMHX from Results Radio in March of 2006. Maverick Media moved the HOT AC format of KMHX on to the stronger 104.9 as they already owned a Country Station, Froggy 92.9.

KMHX broadcast the syndicated Bob and Sheri show in the morning 6am to 10am, Sonoma County Radio Vet Stacey K in the Midday 10am-3pm, Bay Area Radio Native Danny Wright in the Afternoon 3pm-7pm and Dano nights 7pm-12mid.
