Klingle Road

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Klingle Road is a road in Washington DC that was closed in 1991 after erosion severely damaged a 3/4 mile segment[1]. Some people have tried to get the District to rebuild the destroyed section and a grassroots campaign was even created to this end[2].

In May, 2008, the DC City Council voted against reopening the road, bringing its saga close to being over. At the time of this writing, it will most likely become a bike trail.
